Who knew there were so many blogs out there? I’ts so overwhelming.
I have come across a few that I check multiple times a day, my absolute favourite is Craftiness is Not Optional.
It is run by another Jessica, she has three of the most gorgeous girls I’ve ever seen, plus she is extremely clever and crafty.
There a quite a few free patterns, including The June Bug dress. It was the first online pattern I’ve ever bought, here is my first attempt.
My first June Bug.

Check it out.
Well the school holidays have started, hooray.
I love them. No having to be up, dressed and out the door by 8.30am doing the school run, I can stay in my pyjamas and sew all day long.
I have made a few things this week, some my own pattern, others are either purchased or free downloads(love the free ones).
Today I’m showing you a Romper I made using a purchased pattern, New Look 6134.
For some reason it took me about 6 hours to make.
My husband was watching some old C.S.I episodes and I kept getting side tracked.
Anyway here it is. It’s a size Large, the packed says it fits a child that is 79 – 87cm tall and weighs 9.5 – 11kg. To me it looks very close to a size 2.
Front of romper.
Yes, same fabric as the skirt but I love it.
Back of romper. Just love the ruffle shoulders and bottom..

Today I received some lovely fabric from an Australian supplier called The Fabric Jungle. I only just found them last week.
They have a Wednesday night sale on Facebook, some great bargains.
As soon as I opened the parcel I knew exactly what I was going to do with some of it, a very cute and very simple reversible skirt.
I made it up in a size 2, can’t wait to try it on my friends little girl to see if I got the sizing right.
Will let you all know how it goes.
I’m stepping into the word of blogging, don’t really know if I will succeed but I’m having a go.
I love to sew, its that simple.
I mainly sew little girls clothes, they are just so cute…
I will attempt anything except a tutu, those layers of tulle are just insane.
Over the years I have had a go at sewing most things, from curtains to vase covers. Vase covers you say, you will have to wait and see. I’m doing them for a dear friend that I work with.
I have only just discovered blogs and the wonderful world of online patterns and ideas. I know a bit behind the times but that’s me, very simple and like to stick with what I know. For those that know me I don’t handle change very well.
I think that will do for my first go at this blogging business, please bare with me while I try and figure it all out.
I’m hoping to figure out how to put links up to all the wonderful blogs I have discovered.
